Culrain’s first specimen tree is now ready for planting.

Trees 2 131014       Elm

Based on the techniques of Gordon Gravett, with foliage help from Barry Norman and sagely advice from Kevin Wilson, an Elm is the first of some twenty or thirty specimen trees required to populate Kyle of Sutherland. The second tree, a Beech, has had its first coat of Artex.

If only coaches were that easy. I made a complete mess of priming the two ex-LMS coaches and they have now been spirited away to Suffolk for restoration.
