September progress

Posted on October 1, 2013. Filed under: Monthly progress |

This is transition time: in September I’ve been making the difficult move from rolling stock and electrics to the layout scenery and trees. The two, recently built, LMS coaches are ready for painting and at long last I’ve solved my servo problems.

During the month I’ve almost finished the ballasting of track on the south, scenic baseboard. This will be on-going, as I won’t be able to properly complete it until the platforms can be installed. Similarly, the egg-box scenery will have to wait a little longer.

However, this hasn’t prevented a serious attack on the creation of Culrain’s tree population. I’ll be making further tree progress later in October at Missenden’s Autumn Railway Modelling Weekend, as well as starting the painting of the two coaches.

But, will we manage a long overdue “garage test” of Culrain’s rolling stock in October?
