Blog-End

Posted on June 6, 2021. Filed under: Further Progress |

I started modelling during the March 2001 Missenden Abbey Model Railway Course, when the late Bob Alderman showed me how to solder. Kyle of Sutherland started with baseboard construction, which I learned from Barry Norman at the 2005 Spring Course. By 2009, I had come to realise that even though I’d done lots of modelling, I seemed unable to fully complete anything. The fact I had dozens of modelling projects on the go at any one time tells its own story.

The creation of this blog in December 2009 was an attempt to rectify that deficiency by writing monthly progress posts to generate motivation. It seems to have worked, because by January 2012 the embryo Kyle of Sutherland was first seen in public at a club gathering. This is my final blog post for Kyle of Sutherland.

Further work on Kyle of Sutherland’s rolling stock may appear from time to time in my current layout’s blog, “St Donats 1963”, at http://stdonats1963.blogspot.com/
